HyperBarrier Coating is a nanocomposite extrusion coating applied to paper substrates. It is distinct from HyperBarrier Film and is designed for paper-based flexible packaging that requires oxygen, moisture, grease, or aroma barrier performance.

HyperBarrier Film is a heat-sealable monomaterial polyethylene solution for flexible plastic packaging. It is designed to replace complex multilayer structures in PE recycling streams and is a different proposition from the paper/board coating technology.

Dry Foods & Related Formats

HyperBarrier Film is designed for oxygen- and moisture-sensitive flexible packaging, including dry foods, snacks, coffee and tea, nuts and seeds, and seasonings.

HyperBarrier Film availability: Cast film is available from August 2026, and blown film is in development. Application suitability and recycling outcomes must be confirmed for the finished pack and local market.

EarthCoating and HyperBarrier Coating serve paper and paperboard packaging. HyperBarrier Film serves flexible plastic packaging. They are distinct technologies aligned to different material pathways.
