Unisource Signs License Agreement with Smart Planet Technologies
UNISOURCE SIGNS LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH SMART PLANET TECHNOLOGIES Company Will Distribute EarthBoard And EarthCoating Lines Of Greener Packaging Solutions In North America
NORCROSS, GA (December 15, 2010) - Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the leading distributors of paper, packaging, and facility supplies throughout North America, has signed an agreement to distribute the “EarthBoard” and “EarthCoating” lines of environmentally-driven packaging solutions throughout North America. Their products are based upon the research and intellectual property of Smart Planet Technologies, Inc. The broad based availability of these innovative solutions will assist companies to affordably achieve their packaging sustainability targets.

EarthBoard’s natural mineral content can greatly improve whiteness, printability and performance of recycled fiberboards. EarthCoating reduces the use of plastic contaminants often found in folding carton and corrugated boxes that require barrier properties such as food packaging. Less use of plastic in coatings leads to better recyclability of fiberboard packaging.
